They should have let him have his way The only things I'd change in the game as they are would be the commodities prices; I'd have them fluctuate as Chris Roberts would have.
I'm perfectly content with "go here, kill this" kind of missions, however. The changing alliances would have been cool too. This would allow you to have your private dock s , which you'd be able to buy at a possibly outrageous price, but would allow you to keep a ship docked while you'd travel about with another, effectively allowing you to own several ships. Also you'd have an improved reputation with the faction who owned your home base s , but they'd be able to evict you and confiscate any equipment in their territory if your reputation with them became low enough.
On the other hand, on military installations of factions you had a very high reputation with, you'd be able to contract a group of pilots, of size and equipment varying in accordance with your reputation and the availability of personnel and hardware of the particular station, to join you for a set mission or until you'd disband them.
For neutral factions, you'd be able to contract wingmen at a price. Finally, you'd be able to assault installations and, should you be successful, choose from the factions you're friendly or possibly friendly or neutral with would own the conquered installation or possibly, if you had wingmen when you assaulted the installation, only the faction s who participated in the attack would be eligible for new owner.
And haggling! But not like in Oblivion, where you can get so good at it you can buy and sell the same item over and over again at the same shop without even ever leaving for a profit limited only by your willingness to grind the same three clicks. In Sirius Sector! Factions don't change their reputation status with each other no matter what happens.
Commodities never run out of stock. Prices never change. You talk about assaulting installations, which is one of my pet bugbears. Bases you can dock at are indestructible, but similar bases you're called upon to destroy during missions e.
You'd think that a battleship would be built to fend off waves and waves of fighters More topics from this board Where can I find a nomad system? These weapons are not preferred by most PvP oriented pilots, since the slow fire rate, high energy consumption and a somewhat slower aiming reaction leaves the user vulnerable to rapid fire and pulse weapons which drain the energy used for guns.
The Nomad weapons are the most powerful weapons in terms of damage inflicted per second as well as efficiency, making them superior to the Prototype weapons. What makes them even more fearsome is the fact that they consume no energy and can be fired infinitely. The nomad weapons can be looted from Nomad fighters from the Unknown 1 and Unknown 2 systems, and near their jumphole locations in Omicron Alpha and Omicron Gamma.
A sidenote on the class 10 guns is that they don't seem to resemble any known gun type in the universe, leaving a possibility that they inflict maximum damage on every known type of shield. There is also class 10 missile ammo and a class 10 mine dropper found in some of the prototype wrecks.
If you're sick of having limited weapon classes on ships, there's two mods that can effectively remove this limitation. You should also have a ship with a strong hull due to the radiation in that sector. What are the stats on these weapons? Here's the stats on the weapons. Note that both weapons need NO energy to fire, so they won't drain your reserves like other weapons.
Tue Mar 04, pm by FurryAngel Just a little side note - I found all my Nomad weapons in Omicron Gamma near that unknown system jump hole, so it's possible to find these weapons in that place as well multiplayer, that is. Tue Mar 04, pm by Skaleus Are you sure?
I killed wave after wave of them there in Single Player thinking that was the place the only "Unknown System" I knew at the time , and didn't find anything. Tue Mar 04, pm by FurryAngel Heh if you can think of a way I can prove it to you, I will All I can say is that I am really, really sure I found that stuff in the radioactive cloud in Omicron Gamma where all the shipwrecks are and where truckloads of Corsair Titans are flying around and where there is that unknown system jumphole.
I found that stuff just yesterday. I went there to get my Nomad stuff because someone else on the forums posted he found his stuff there. Apocalypse, I think.
